Ultimate Texas Toast with Melted Cheese

by

Combining the delectable flavors of garlic, Parmesan, mozzarella, and provolone on buttered bread, we’ve discovered the ultimate combination for our semi-homemade Texas toast with cheese. Our family adores this dish not only for its incredible taste but also for its simplicity, making it a perfect side dish for pasta or a hearty piece of meat.

Imagine thick slices of Texas toast generously coated with melted butter, a hint of garlic, fragrant Parmesan, and aromatic oregano. Then, they’re crowned with not one but two layers of gooey mozzarella and provolone cheese. As you watch the cheese bubble and turn golden brown in the oven, your anticipation will grow.

We’re constantly on the lookout for innovative ways to elevate our family meals, and this cheesy Texas toast recipe never disappoints.

𝗜𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:

4 tablespoons of melted butter

2 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder

1 teaspoon of oregano

1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese

6 slices of provolone cheese

6 slices of Texas toast (or any thick, hearty bread)

1/2 teaspoon of dried parsley (optional garnish)

𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:

Optionally, lightly toast the bread before adding the seasonings. Toasting can enhance the bread’s crunchiness, but you can skip this step if you prefer a softer texture.

Melt the butter and thoroughly mix in the grated Parmesan, fragrant oregano, and garlic powder until well combined.

Arrange the bread slices in your air fryer basket or on a baking sheet in a single, flat layer. Evenly spread the butter mixture over each slice.

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the toast. Top each slice with a luscious slice of provolone.

If using an Air Fryer, set it to 350°F and air fry for 5 minutes. Alternatively, bake in a convection oven at 375°F for 6 to 7 minutes until the cheese is perfectly melted and bubbling.

If desired, garnish with a sprinkle of dried parsley before serving.

Enjoy the irresistible delight of our cheese-topped Texas toast – a simple yet sensational accompaniment to any meal.

Adding only water when cooking rice is a big mistake. I will share with you the secret that hotels use.

Adding only water when cooking rice is a big mistake. Here’s the secret that hotels use.

Organic Ingredients

1 cup of long-grain rice like basmati or jasmine.

2 tablespoons of butter or olive oil

1 little onion, cut into very small pieces

2 pieces of garlic, finely chopped

2 cups of chicken or vegetable broth

1 bay leaf

Add sea salt and pepper according to your preference.

Fresh parsley for garnish if desired)

Steps to follow:

Wash the rice with cold water until the water is clear. This helps get rid of extra starch and stops things from sticking.

Cook: In a pot, warm up the butter or oil on medium heat. Put the diced onion in the pan and cook until it becomes clear. Put the chopped garlic in and cook for one more minute.

Toast the rice:

Put the washed rice in the pot and stir it constantly for around 2 minutes until it is slightly toasted.

Add broth and seasonings: Pour the broth into the pot, put in the bay leaf, and add salt and pepper to taste. Mix well and heat until boiling.

Simmer: When the water is boiling, lower the heat, cover the pot with a lid, and let it cook gently for 15-18 minutes until the water is absorbed and the rice is soft.

Rest: Take the rice off the heat and let it sit, covered, for 10 minutes.

Remove the bay leaf from the rice, stir it with a fork, add fresh parsley on top if you like, and serve while hot.

Enjoy your tasty rice, just like the one you get in a hotel!

Alternatively, accompany it with a bowl of fresh fruit or a simple green salad for a more rounded meal.

Simple 3-Ingredient Apple Danish Recipe

Ingredients

2 sheets of puff pastry

2 medium-sized apples, peeled, cored, and quartered

1/3 cup of baker’s sugar, plus extra for dusting

Preparation

Prepare the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 425°F, setting the stage for baking.

Prep the Apples: Peel, core, and quarter the apples. Simmer them in a saucepan with just enough water to cover, over medium heat for about 4 minutes, or until they’re slightly softened. Remove from the heat, stir in the sugar, and allow to cool.

Prepare the Pastry: Slice each sheet of puff pastry in half, and then cut each half into three rectangles. You’ll end up with six pieces in total.

Assemble: Dampen the edges of one pastry rectangle, place a portion of the cooled apple mixture on top, then cover with another pastry rectangle, this time with slits cut into it. Press the edges together to seal. Repeat this process to create six apple parcels.

Baking: Arrange the parcels on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Lightly sprinkle the tops with additional sugar to give them a sweet, crispy finish.

Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until each Danish turns golden brown and puffs up.

This 3-Ingredient Apple Danish is best savored fresh and warm, offering a comforting and satisfying treat. Any leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days. Reheat them in the oven for a few minutes when you’re ready to enjoy a pastry that tastes as good as new.

Irresistible Cream and Berry-Filled Pastry Balls

by

Irresistible Cream and Berry-Filled Pastry Balls

INGREDIENTS:

1 package of puff pastry sheets (2 sheets), thawed

1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup powdered sugar (plus extra for dusting)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

1 tablespoon granulated sugar (optional, for sprinkling)

INSTRUCTIONS

Step-by-Step Method

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent the pastries from sticking.

Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy. If you prefer a sweeter filling, you can add an extra tablespoon of powdered sugar. Set aside.

Prepare the Berries: Rinse and pat dry the berries. If using strawberries, hull and dice them into smaller pieces. You can also lightly mash some of the berries to release their juices, creating a more jam-like filling.

Roll Out the Pastry: On a lightly floured surface, unfold the thawed puff pastry sheets and roll them out slightly to smooth any creases. Cut each sheet into 9 equal squares, resulting in 18 squares total.

Fill the Pastry: Place a teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square. Add a few berries on top of the cream cheese. Be careful not to overfill, as this can make sealing the pastry difficult.

Shape the Pastry Balls: Gather the corners of each square and pinch them together to form a ball, enclosing the filling inside. Pinch and seal any open edges to prevent the filling from leaking out during baking. Place the pastry balls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

Brush with Egg Wash: Lightly brush each pastry ball with the beaten egg to give them a shiny, golden finish. For a touch of added sweetness and texture, sprinkle the tops with a bit of granulated sugar if desired.

Bake Until Golden: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the pastry balls are puffed and golden brown. The filling should be warm and the pastry crisp.

Cool and Dust with Sugar: Remove the pastry balls from the oven and let them cool slightly on the baking sheet. Dust with powdered sugar for a beautiful finishing touch before serving.

Crockpot Pierogi Casserole with Kielbasa

by

Crockpot Pierogi Casserole with Kielbasa

Ingredients

Three packages of Mrs. T’s Cheddar Pierogies

Four cups of chicken broth

One 8-ounce block of cream cheese

One cup of shredded cheddar cheese

One pound of kielbasa sliced

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Combining Ingredients in Crockpot: In a 4-6 quart crockpot, combine three cups of the chicken broth, the frozen pierogies, sliced kielbasa, and shredded cheddar cheese. Ensure that the ingredients are evenly distributed.

Cooking the Casserole: Set the crockpot to cook on high for 3-4 hours, or alternatively, on low for 6 hours. This long cooking time allows the flavors to fully develop and meld together, resulting in a cohesive and flavorful dish.

Preparing Cream Cheese Mixture: Approximately 30 minutes before the end of the cooking time, warm the block of cream cheese with the remaining one cup of chicken broth. This can be done either in a microwave or on a stovetop. Once warmed, whisk the mixture until it achieves a smooth consistency.

Final Assembly: Pour the smooth cream cheese mixture into the crockpot, stirring well to integrate. Sprinkle the remaining cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the top. Cover the crockpot and set it to cook on low for an additional 30 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt and the flavors to bind.

Serving: Serve the casserole hot, ideally garnished with sliced green onions if desired, to add both color and a mild, oniony crunch that complements the rich flavors of the dish.
